Forgot what it was like to go outside for I gotten so used to being cooped up in the haus sitting on a pile of articles and deadlines for work. Its usually around this time that the days get gloomy and your mood becomes altered and getting out of bed can be a struggle. If you’re a Leo like me, you would know that we are very extroverted, social, fierce and sassy. Well, not this time around. I value alone time, I get easily annoyed by people (especially ignorant ones), and my idea of turning up involves yoga, wine, and meditating to Outkast and UGK on wax. I even dyed my hair black and began to wear the shade pretty much everyday. For today’s look, I wanted to add some androgyny by working around a black velvet blazer. It’s sophisticated, emotional, and just so happens to be the color of my soul.  Last Sunday, my homegirl and I were coming up with responses to say to people who constantly ask us why we wear black all the time, and I came up with a few responses:

– Because people are dead to me.

– Because I’m dead on the inside.

– It’s the color of my soul.

– Yohji Yamamoto, Alexander Wang  and Hedi Slimane told me to.

– To make you uncomfortable.

And my personal favourite…

– So I can pull up to your funeral in style

What do you guys think? Can wearing all black alter your mood?

    1. You’re absolutely right! It can be worn for every single occasion. There was this article online on The Independent that says that wearing black makes us feel expensive, sophisticated, and confident. So yes, a win win for all!
