So as you may of seen in a few of my outfit posts, I like to mix it up in terms of not only attire, but also brand names. One of my fashion pet peeves is outfits that consist of multiple brands like a Gucci hat, Supreme box logo tee, Off-White jacket, Bape kicks and Balmain bikers. Just because you wear everything designer does not necessarily indicate that you have style. It doesn’t hurt to invest in a high quality piece every now and then for with the hefty price tag doesn’t come with an expiry date. A particular individual I look up to when it comes to putting my looks together is Aleali May. At the tender age of 24, she is the founder of her self-titled blog (alealimay.com)  a stylist to celebrities like Tinashe, Kendrick Lamar, and a well-known influencer when it comes to streetwear fashion. She is known in the fashion industry for mixing high-end fashion with streetwear. Whether by wearing a Fear of God over coat over a pair of Saint Laurent sneakers, Aleali is a force to be reckoned with. Since following her journey from Louis Vuitton and RSVP Gallery, I’ve began to combine high-end quality pieces with affordable brands. To keep it simple, choose one high-end piece and work around it. For today’s look, I wanted to pay homage to Aleali for she continues to influence my street style and to not be afraid to step out of the box and try new looks. For today’s look, I started with a Maison Margiela tunic and tied it into a knot so it hangs beside my right hip. I then proceeded to work around the Margiela piece by adding black Zara culottes, a black bomber jacket while a crisp pair of Vans hi-tops cover my feet. Accessories were kept simple with a black choker and shoulder bag. Leave a comment below and be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram for more visual content! Be sure to check out Aleali’s blog as well!
