Trust The Process

What’s up everybody! I know I made the announcement last week where I would challenge myself to drop a #ThoughtOfTheWeek each week (click here to view last week’s thought).  With so much being on my mind whether it’s through snapchat or a tweet, why not just let it all out le blog? At least its not gonna cut me off at 10 seconds or 140 characters. This past week has been an interesting one for I experienced a few setbacks in terms of my personal life and my occupation. You’d think I’d be raging like Kid Cudi (#PrayForCudi). But I took a step back and began to observe the situation(s) at hand. Not all blessings come with good results for some can take an unexpected turn. For those of you who follow me on snapchat (caamillexo), I explained that with every loss, comes a win but it is all dependent on how you handle the loss. If you handle it with anger while blaming others for your downfall, the chances of a win coming your way will be slim to none. However, if you take the L as a learning experience, it will give you fuel to keep embarking on your journey wherever it may take you. But don’t think that a win will come knocking your door in five seconds. Trust me if it did, life would be too freakin easy. Take this opportunity to collect yourself and figure out what is next. Whatever goals or dreams you may have, remember there is a process to attainting those dreams and whatever they are, it requires work that Riri song. There will be times where you may want to give up but life is a game and we as players must decide how we are going to play. We can either sit on the bench and watch the game from the side or we can tie up our laces and make the right plays like Jordan in the 1996 NBA Finals.  Continue on building your ladder, it’s not the destination that’s important, it’s the journey!
