Throwback Thursday: #StyleYourMix

What’s good everybody? Today I thought I’d do a lil somethin different with today’s post and make it more auditory. For those who really know me, know that I love music… particularly hip-hop in the 90’s. During the golden era of rap, each region provided their own subgenre of areas of sound, delivery and lyricism. On the East Coast, you had MC’s like Biggie, Nas, Foxy Brown, Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang who delivered hard-hitting lyrics discussing everyday struggles that young African-American’s face while living on the streets in Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queensbridge. On the West Coast, you had Tupac, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dr. Dre ridin to that g-funk sound while cruising in six fo’s drinkin 40’s out of brown paper bags. It wasn’t until 1995 where the South had something to say. Wanna know more? Then sit back, relax and enjoy the sound of 90’s rap as I use my MC skills and let me take you on a trip down memory lane. Any songs in there that you recognize? If so, comment below! Also a big shout out to Tuffhouse Studios for holdin it down and for adding the final touches to the mix. Be sure to check out their platforms and give em a follow which I will provide below. In the words of Foxy brown, “90’s style, the finest style.”
